About me
I am a Computer Science educator at South Salem High School, where I teach a wide variety of coding courses aimed at showing students that programming is everywhere. I take a "breadth-first" approach to my program, aiming to captivate student interest with a broad range of hands-on or project-based introductory courses that try to target a wide range of interests such as robotics, web development, app development, and game design.
For the last year, I've been presenting the fun ways I use AI in and out of the classroom, but recently I've focused my personal exploration on how AI impacts our society. My goal is to move beyond simply advocating for tool use and instead foster AI Literacy. I believe we must help students and teachers understand the full equation of AI adoption—recognizing what we lose just as much as what we gain.
