Dr. Derek Brown is the Information and Technology Officer for the Hillsboro School District. Derek has served in various senior leadership roles in K-12, with a diverse background spanning curriculum, special education, human resources, assessment and accountability, data analysis, and research. Derek's cross-functional experience allows him to approach technology and AI with both a systems-level perspective and a deep understanding of classroom and organizational needs. Derek is committed to helping shape responsible, practical AI guidance and practices that support educators and appropriately enhance learning experiences for all students.
