About me
Dr. Devin Roach is an Assistant Professor Oregon State University (OSU). He is the Principal Investigator and Director of the Versatile Additive Manufacturing lab at Oregon State (VAMOS) which focuses on developing AI-driven, multi-material additive manufacturing approaches to fabricate functional devices which can realize immediate engineering applications. His research outputs have been highly cited (over 3000 citations) and are in top journals in the field including Advanced Materials, ACS Applied Materials & interfaces, and Additive Manufacturing.
Prior to his time at OSU, he was a Senior Member of the Technical Staff at Sandia National Laboratories leading a research group focusing on applied machine learning methods for real-time monitoring and autonomous optimization of additive manufacturing systems.
He spent 10 years studying at the Georgia Institute of Technology obtaining his BS, MS, and PhD degrees in Mechanical Engineering focusing on materials and manufacturing science. He received a philosophy minor along with his BS degree in 2016.
