Hi everyone! My name is Henry Xu. I am currently a senior at Sunset High School and am extremely passionate about AI in education. Together with two of my friends, I founded AIRethought, an organization dedicated to promoting AI literacy to teachers. I've been fortunate enough to have helped directly draft district-wide AI policy with the head of curriculum and CIO, develop AI software used by multiple schools, and worked directly with thousands of teachers.
I am also extremely passionate about computer science and agentic AI, developing software tools that promote transparent AI usage between teachers and students. Outside of AI, I love attending hackathons, watching basketball, and am an active member of the Chinese-American community, helping start Beaverton School District's first ever Mandarin Dual Language program.
